Why Wear Makeup

Is it really necessary for women (some men too) to wear make-up? Apart from media people who must be presentable to the audience, I guess others should minimize (avoiding is best) wearing makeup. I recommend those people to not wear makeup often. They can minimize by not wearing makeup during their private hours.
Recent research studies have told us that some components in the makeup such as coal tar, heavy metals (mercury, lead, and cadmium), and other preservatives can cause problems to our health. The first credit for producing the world's killer makeups goes to the Romans. Queen Cleopatra was known for her beauty, especially for her smoky eyes. But do you know that the eye makeup was made from a copper ore? The eye makeup color called udje was made from a copper ore called malachite (green-colored compound). Kohl, which was made from soot, animal fat, and any metal such as lead, antimony, or copper, was used as eyeliner or kajal. However, many of the people of those times were never aware of the fact that a prolonged exposure to these killer cosmetics will lead to eye irritability, insomnia, and eventually mental disease.
The improvisation of the modern cosmetics had led to more delirious health effects to people. How many of us know that our lipstick contains lead, or our mascara contains mercury? Ignorance and narcissism have played their role through some modern-day cosmetics.
According to Dr. Joel Schlesinger, a dermatologist in Omaha, Neb, the eye skin is so naŃ—ve such that it is so transparent enough to beautifully absorb those harmful materials. Also, the mucous membranes found in our eyes and nostrils also wonderfully take part in the job of creating serious problems.
Many of us do not fully understand the labels such as "contains SPS and SPF" and "nonallergic". When a cosmetic says it is nonallergic, it does not mean that is completely nonallergic. It means that the cosmetic product is less allergic. Instead of applying artificial sunscreen ointments, topical application of Vitamin C along with Vitamin A can do wonders to your skin without causing any damage.
I want those days where we use to apply mehandi instead of nail polish, and instead of cosmetic mascaras and eyeliners, we used kajal made from original castor/sesame oil, and instead of artificial cleansers and face packs, we used multhani matti, cucumber and curd. I wish people should start accepting what they are (in terms of color) rather going for problem-causing whitener, foundations, and creams. One of our assets is our body. I think we should really take care of our body, in terms of good health.
